Money is not it.

j0401073.jpg “If your only goal is to become rich, you will never achieve it.” John D. Rockefeller Money. So many believe it will make you happy. (It doesn’t.) So many believe that is why people stay in jobs, or leave jobs. (It isn’t.) So many think that it will solve/fix/eliminate your problems. (It won’t.) So many think money will do it all. (It can’t.) Money is necessary to live, and this isn’t about making money to live your life in the way that you want to. This is about being careful that making money doesn’t become your life. ~ People have an interesting relationship with money. It’s a love/hate relationship. We want it, we fixate on it, we crave it. Yet, it doesn’t fix what we wanted it to fix. It doesn’t fulfill us like we thought it would. Why? If you’re not happy with YOU, money won’t fix that. If you’re not happy in your relationship, money won’t fix that either. ~ Money is necessary in life, helps to buy things we need, and can be used to enhance life. But, despite all our focus on money, ironically ultimately what brings us joy is people, not money. Money can’t hold your hand, give you a hug, or make you laugh. Money doesn’t share your memories, take a walk with you, hold you while you cry or remember your birthday. Too many people, in their last moments of life, often realize this: True wealth has nothing to do with money… it’s the people, not the things, that make up our time on this earth. ~ Today, spend some time thinking about money… both it’s purpose and it’s place within your world. Are people your passion, your joy, and your focus… and money merely a tool you use to live your life? ~
