Thinking too much, doing too little?

Thinking too much, doing too little?

“You cannot build a reputation on what you intend to do.”

Liz Smith

Your amazing list, of all the things that you are going to do (one day…some day..), that lives inside your head, is impressing nobody but you.
And, let’s be honest, it’s not even impressing you any more.

Your big dreams have been sitting and waiting for you to bring them in to the world for years now…and they’re starting to look dusty, and a little bit tattered and worn. Like great clothes, amazing jewelry and fabulous shoes, dreams are better when they’re out in the world (not tucked away for safe keeping!).

So many people want perfected plans before they make a step.
They want order and predictability.
They want the wrinkles ironed out, starched out, before they make their debut.
However, being so busy with the details can mean that nothing ever happens.
And, for many, nothing ever does.

We work with this a lot at the Say Yes Institute…in so many different ways.
You must start somewhere, start anywhere, and make a move.
We are not suggesting that you randomly and haphazardly make monumental changes in life.
We are suggesting (encouraging) that you have a direction you want to go in, and then get going on your journey.

You might get lost.
Your trip might not be flawless, or without incident.
You might even change the ultimate destination, but you’ve got to start moving if you’re ever going to get anywhere! Life is not meant to be lived in “to do” lists or in your head.

Dreams are great to get you going, but they don’t get you there.
Only you can get you there…so, stop waiting, and thinking, and planning, and worrying…

Get going…and start doing!
